The first half of June is a busy one with several celebrations and Star Parties.

June Full Moon

June 3 is the Full Strawberry Moon. Let’s hope for a cloud-free Saturday night to get a spectacular view of of the moon Full Moon Watch.

Celebrations in June

June 14 is Flag Day and commemorates the adoption of the flag on June 14, 1777.

June 16 is Father’s Day honoring all fathers, grandfathers and father figures.

June 17 is Juneteenth, an annual commemoration of the end of slavery in the U.S. after the Civil War. It has been celebrated by African Americans since the late 1800s.

We’re happy to launch the redesign of bringbinoculars.com this week after months of technical girations and content reorganization. Our goal is to make the articles, videos, puzzles and information about using binoculars more accessible and easy to read, watch and enjoy.

What’s Happening

Enjoy the weekend and remember all the veterans who are serving and have served in the military. The federal holiday is for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces. It is observed on the last Monday of May.

June 3, Saturday is the Full Strawberry Moon so named because of the plentiful fields of berries at this time of year. Hope for a cloud-free night to get a spectacular view of the moon and check out Full Moon Watch.

June 4-17  Bryce Canyon Astronomy Festival at Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.

June 9-11 the Rangeley Birding Festival is hosted by Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust in Rangeley Maine.
